A Bit About Me

I've always been drawn to a good story. I was an English + Studio Art major before I discovered and fell in love with Design at UC Davis. In the early stages of finding myself as a designer, I quickly learned that the thinking and process behind writing a story or creating a piece of art was very similar to that of the Design Process. It's an evolving journey that unravels itself as we learn and gain new perspectives. It's iterating, failing, and trying again through a new lens.

Design has the power to shape our world, and that's a huge responsibility. I believe that a successful design stems from a desire to make things better for real people and our design process should strive tell the good story of how we got there.

Sr. Product Designer

AcuityMD | April 2024 - Present

  • Led design for Targeting pod, our primary surface area which enables medical sales reps to better identify sales targets. Expanded our support for various Targeting strategies, including payer-based targeting and procedure volume comparisonT
  • Led design for Care Journeys pod, a new offering which enhanced users’ ability to find sales targets based on the intersection of two medical events. Iterated on features through the beta period by being in constant communication with beta customers and saw projects through to initial product launchT
  • Contributed to our team’s design system through creation & management of components and streamlining use of color tokens
Sr. Product Designer

GRIN | November 2019 - April 2024

  • As the first designer, implement a lean but collaborative design process
  • Stood up the team's first design system, extending patterns from Chakra UI, and operated as our design systems lead through development of our first project using the new library
  • Collaborated with engineering leads to strategize rollout of our new design system to customers
  • Facilitated design thinking workshops with cross functional team
  • Led product design for the company's first reporting tool, leading to $100k+ in additional ARR thus far
  • Conduct user testing via surveys and moderated test sessions with customers
  • Designed in lock step with PM and engineering lead within an Agile pod, where I was fully embedded in scrum ceremonies
UX/UI Designer

Clear Capital | November 2018 - October 2019

  • In a team of 3 designers, introduced design process and design sprint methods to the product team
  • Lead knowledge sharing and ideation workshops with teams of designers, engineers, and business analysts
  • Implemented new processes to facilitate collaborative design work through a brand new design system
  • Redesigned major parts of our product and created our design system library in Sketch
  • Work closely with product owners, industry experts, and analysts to explore viable solutions to existing user problems
  • Work closely with frontend and backend engineers throughout development to ensure smooth delivery and release of new features

ZURB | August 2016 - November 2018

  • Worked closely with internal and external product managers, leads, and designers to come up with unique solutions to business problems
  • Designed, prototyped, and coded responsive websites and web applications
  • Iterated on lo-fidelity concepts and hi-fidelity wireframes based on user testing
  • Collaborated with our user researchers to perform both moderated and unmoderated user testing
  • Created user stories and animated prototypes to help tell / sell the story of our designs
  • Presented design work and research findings directly to clients
  • Led client calls and facilitated feedback sessions
  • Was an instructor in ZURB's Intro to Foundation course, where I taught front-end coding lessons using the Foundation Framework by ZURB
